94 - Fish and chips and other adventures...
Well, I did make it to Dublin with Alex last week...and got the fish and chips which were delicious. Yes, yes - I do realize the phallic nature of the fish on the plate. HaHa. It was a nice, but quick trip.
We headed to Washington, D.C. to visit his family last Thursday and picked up Emily on Friday. We went to a museum one day, had dinner with friends/family, had a pedicure/manicure, and went to one of our favorite D.C. restaurants - Nam Viet. I absolutely love Vietnamese food. There is just something about it that is so flavorful and comforting to me. It was nice trip. We are now back hanging out in NYC. Alex was on "short call" today which means we couldn't really head into the city. So we relaxed in the crash pad today and had an authentic Italian dinner at a local joint called Vincent's. I'm eating my takeout cannoli as I type. Do you see my trend of focusing mainly on the food?
Tomorrow he will switch to "long call" which means we will be able to trek into the city. The plan is to spend the day at the met and then hopefully venture into the village for dinner. Actually, I don't know very much about New York...I just wanted to sound like I do ;-). If Alex doesn't get a trip by tomorrow night, we'll probably head back to Ann Arbor on Thursday.
As for new news in the world of pregnancy:
1) I got a public recognition at the subway last week when someone offered me their seat.
2) It doesn't matter if I have just emptied my bladder - if I sneeze, there is a 90% chance I will piss myself a little.
3) I love having boobs. Plain and simple.

You are so funny on here! I can't wait until you get back so I can see how big your belly and boobs are! HAHA! ;-)
-2nd
Yuk! I have enormous boobs, sans pregnancy, and I HATE THEM! Honestly, I dread to think of what will happen if/when I'm pregnant. But if you like 'em, enjoy it!
Hey Sky - I have zero boobs normally, hence the appreciation ;-).
I'm with Sky. Sigh. We always want what we don't have.
Glad you had fun--enjoy the city!
How fun! I love reading about all the food because, well, I like to eat. And bigger boobs are a plus! Until they get engorged after you deliver and those are ridiculous porn-like boobs that are no fun. The Met sounds nice- have a great mini-trip!
I am lukewarm about the boobs. THey are getting huge now and I dislike the jiggling, though I do like that a guy stumbled all over himself to hold the door to the grocery store for me yesterday, lol (of course, that may be because my current bra is WAY TOO SMALL and they were spilling over and stretching my shirt!). I am super-happy you are having a fabulous food-tour of the various regions:-) Enjoy NYC. I grew up nearby and my favorite place for dinner/drinks/hanging out has always been the west village - it is just so cozy and relaxed compared the the rest of NYC.
Wow, sounds like you're having a great time getting to travel and dine out in different places. Nice to see you on the positive side of being married to a pilot instead of being stuck at home by yourself.
#2 and 3 cracked me up! Send us a new belly shot soon. Hugs
Oh, girl, you're killing me... fish and chips AND New York City... high, high on my list of favorite things. And actually, I've never had fish and chips (the real one) and I'm just dying to try them one day. So yummy. With a beer... okay, I'll stop.
NYC I do know and have done and how I miss it. Hoping to live there one day.
But more importantly... how happy you look and how wonderful that is! You're a happy pregnant lady with boobs, no less.
Enjoy the rest of your trip. And you're right, it IS my blog, and I'll say what I want. Thanks for the support, whether or not you agree with me.
You look great. I love fish n chips, but I can't have them anymore. Cannoli? Wow, I don't really hear much about that anymore. My parents made them when I was a kid, but they are not very "trendy" here.
OMG, Cristina, somehow I just NEW you were going through this too... I think you're baby is going to be okay, I really do. The rate of false positives is just ridiculous on this test. Praying that I'll be okay too. Hang in there!
